As a Club...
we put on two AKC licensed Specialty Shows
a year, in January and June.
Our history dates back to the 1970's
as a small group of cocker lovers that got together
and held "fun matches" and other dog related functions.
As time went by the Club grew in membership
and in knowledge of the breed
and the importance of the "betterment of the breed".
The American Spaniel Club
is the mother club to all the sanctioned
and licensed cocker clubs
in the United States,
and we adhere to their principles and regulations.
We held our first AKC Licensed Specialty Show
in January of 1987,
and have continured through the years with the help
and dedication of all of our members.
Today we have a small but strong group of people that
meet every month to discuss Club issues
and the preparation of our shows,
as well as many other issues related to the cocker spaniel.
We are a non-profit organization.
Meetings
are held the
First Tuesday of each month at
the Northwest Veterinary Specialists,
16756 SE 82nd Drive,
Clackamas, Oregon 97015.
Starting time is 8:00 pm.
